The weepy gene?

Please tell me when that weepy gene thingy sneaks in? Because all I was trying to do was track a package from here to ....oh I don't know...Taiwan, and all I did was read this:

Your item left the United States from MIAMI at 6:52 PM on April 8, 2008.

Next thing you know....tears....

GAWD!! Seriously!! Is this going to happen a lot?

Don't worry. You'll also get the cranky gene too. It balances out. Weepy one minute and seriously cranky the next.

I think the weepy gene comes when you became a mom. Embrace it...it will probably happen alot.

Trust me, It's totally normal! Just means you are a mom :)
Go over to Taiwan Lucy's site and try listening to the song dad wrote for little Lucy - guaranteed to make you cry!

Weep Away Miss Ann it's only been almost 2 years you've been waiting to send that special first care package to your little lady!
I got chills I can still remember that feeling - -Won't be long now. Just think in a few days she'll be sporting her new fashions and seeing your face for the first time. YEAH

I am sorry to say hon, but yes it can happen often in this journey..! You will survive, I am sure. We are all here to listen if you need to vent however! We are always up for a friend hon! And since some of us have been there done that, we are really good support!

Yes, it's gonna happen and ususally without warning. During our first adoption, the photo guy at Wal-mart wouldn't let me make copies of our referal pics. He thought it may be professional. What?? It was a generic shot done in an orphanage. Anyhow, I went down anyother aisle and sobbed. I don't mean tears. It was all out snot and hyperventilating cry seesion. It felt like the photo guy was keeping me from my baby. I know weird. Seriously, I didn't know how I'd get out of the store without a scene. (I ended up just going to a different Wal-mart to get the pics copied.)

It it so awesome to send your baby stuff. We could for our Korean adoption, but not for our Vietnamese adoptions.

Oh yes weeping comes with that whole adoption process thingy! Whatever you do Dont Read "What to expect the 1st year". That stupid book made me cry so much! The 1st month was good "Oh the baby can hold his head up", the 2nd month was ok "Oh now baby can roll over", the 3rd month was like "Now your child should be smiling, etc" & at that point I was like screw you book & courts I want my baby!! So by all means weep away. I totally understand:)

I've been weepy at times too - part of motherhood, but I also think this side of the wait is really hard!
