Lessons Learned

I am continually humbled by the lessons I have learned on this journey. I will also say that I am embarrassed by some of the lessons that I have learned throughout this entire process. So many people have come forward and showered us with help. I work on a unit that is an extension of another unit. I haven't worked on the original unit in over a year. They asked me to come over to the original unit on my last day, knowing that it would be like pulling teeth to get me over there. I went and when I got there several people were waiting at the front desk. They said "congratulations...look.." and when I looked over I saw "the money tree". I will admit, that I didn't shed a tear, until I drove home. I just can't believe that so many people came forward to help us. I won't say exactly how much was on that tree. But it was A LOT, a lot more then it looks like in that picture. When I told Jon how much, he said there was no way. So after I took the picture, we counted it. I am humbled. I am so thankful to everyone who contributed. I don't think they know how much it truly touched my heart. I think during the day to day dealings at work, when you get frustrated or the day is going wrong, you forget about the goodness in everyone's heart. I was reminded and I hope I never forget. Thank you, Thank you very much.

It's amazing what comes from the blessing of a child.

Claire will have to make an appearance at mommy's work I think to show everyone what their generosity helped to bring.

What a blessing. Just like sweet Claire :)

That is amazing Ann! It is truly amazing how many people will step in for a child and say "I will help" when it comes down to it and to be so loved by your coworkers is just simply amazing! Thank you for sharing your story of hope and miracles... I can't wait to check this blog and see how this long journey finally ends or shall I say begins! I know that your stomach will flip flop and your heart will pound but I pray that your eyes, head and ears can take in this day you have been waiting on, and store it for years and years! I am just so happy for you I could just burst. After crying for you in months past and leaving comments of hope, I finally get to leave a comment of wow and it seems that there can never be enough wow when wow can't say nearly enough!!!
